The Camry is redesigned for 2025 and returns with a hybrid-only powertrain and all-wheel drive available on every trim. Toyota didn’t revolutionize the 2025 model; instead, it opted for a bunch of little improvements like new standard active safety equipment, an attractive interior, and sharper handling.

Any details from the manufacturer why they didn't offer a non- hybrid model?
according to a study, at least 53 percent of men visit certain websites on the phones every single day.... does this battery test account for that?
last year i bought the toyota camry awd 2023, so any gas requirements for smooth running and keep good engine? Thank you
In reality, the new Nissan kicks is just a refreshed rogue sport same powertrain so they never got rid of the rogue sport. They just brought it back as the Nissan kicks.
toyotas for lofe
I had a 1987 I think, black 560 SEL with sienna brown color interior, reclining back seats with 2 different heating modes! And heated front seats, with a little leg rest on the floor in the back. Won’t even get started on the comfort and reliability. Now I got a 1995 e320 sedan gold with beige interior much simpler , med size and better gas mileage which I actually like even better… Both were reliable like a German tank. But I would never buy Mercedes or any car above 2000 because wiring and electronic issues are constant on every modern car. I like it when my car is mostly made from gears and screws lol, and newer cars look like they’re dead with no soul lol.
Keep it simple. Just buy a Toyota.
FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA 😚🍒
Israel is all you'll see 😁
For people that need stalks, can buy 3rd party.
Is it a PHEV ? As in having a plug with 50 miles of battery range? Toyota doing everything to stall BEVs...Meanwhile the Chinese automakers get on with the BEV domination program.. Not buying YESTERDAYS TECH😂
I have a Tesla model S and I have zero issue with regen and neither do my passengers. If you have trouble with regen, you haven’t figured out regen.
i sell my corolla hatchback 18 to buy 16 18 are junk in québec canada thanks for the video
As usual, the segment's champion Toyota Camry continues to improve. Less complicated (not what this "reviewer" claims, adding the height bs), with physical buttons etc. Better mpg (and amazing overall TCO = Total Cost of Ownership), excellent accelerations (due to hybrid battery), nice and practical design. And didn't go the BEV scam way 😉
My only experience with the Camry is sitting in the last generation and found it to low to the ground, I felt the seat bottom gave me the feeling I was way to low. A Sedan is not for me, give me an SUV/CUV anytime but not a sedan. Even entry and exiting the Sedan is not for me. Yes it is a beautiful vehicle and I give Toyota High praise for putting more hybrids on the road, now if the other companies could follow suit !!
Ive rented camry’s the last two years, and they’re annoyingly numb to drive? Is this new car not numb?? I rented a chevy malibu and it was refreshingly more normal to drive. More responsive steering and suspension feel in the chevy.
How about next time you let us know how tall you are so we can get a better feel of what you’re taking about at 5:31
Goodness, this discussion makes it sound like you need at least a PhD just to open the door to get into a hybrid. Actually I find my hybrid simpler to drive and maintain than any ICE car I have ever owned. I have had only one, well designed, hybrid so it may not be representative of some others. Mine is a BMW 530e which I purchased new in 2018, so almost 6 years at this point. To date I have averaged 42 mpg in this fairly large luxury AWD car while my wife's BMW 4 cyl model has averaged 27 mpg in her significantly smaller car. Aside from the difference in mpg, she doesn't get any break from the electric company for the fuel she uses while I get a substantial rebate from them for charging off peak (I just plug it in and the car and electric company communicate automatically via WiFi for charging it in the middle of the night during the off-peak hours do the rest.) Does that sound difficult?
What’s wrong with boring? Exciting driving includes the big truck coming straight at you. Boring driving means you come home every night…😬
Just bought a 2018 Chevy Volt which gives me 53+ ev miles, leather seats, heated steering wheel and front and back seats for $19,000, much cheaper than the Prius.
From what I've seen with other reviews is that Camry is the perfect commuter/family sedan for the mass market. Although the The Fast Lane test indicate that the E-AWD system is next to useless.
Just bought a silver-grey Trax Active and I love this car. 3 cylinder coupled with a 6 speed shift is no issue for me
It's not Elon's ego that prevents a HUD. 😂 What an ignorant comment. CR is really 💩.
EV's are 79% less reliable than ICE cars? What a clown show. These people don't offer true clarity about how reliable EV's are. They just want people to hear their opinions. If I want someone's useless opinion...I'll go to a local gas station. I'm done with this channel.
Guys, dont speculate about the Tesla layoffs snd the impacts...stick tk thr car review.
I am very interested to know if the wind noise problem with the 2024 and earlier Camry has been fixed. You talk about wind noise at about the 6:25 mark. But it is UNCLEAR if you are referring to the XLE you are driving, or the SE you drove over the weekend.
Your suggestions are all on my no fly list. I have genetic liver issues and it doesn't remove toxins. Therefore my skin breaks out if you look at me cross-eyed. I know have the problem of my medication making my sweat acrid. I can't use anything with perfumes, bleach, lysol antibacterial, ammonia or anything with harsh surfactants. I'm left with, Tide free Downey free, vinegar, baking soda, and alcohol.(outside the body only) none of it is removing the smell. I'm willing to sacrifice a 1" square of my hide for a week or so to test something that hasn't already done me wrong if it will get ride of the funk in my sweaters.
Say “kind of” one more time, bud.
That mid dash looks like it’s wrapped in Bounty towels. I hope it looks better in person.
What is your height ? Why not mention if it touches the top?
Its complicated for people with low class cars, Mercedes just has a little square TouchPad (much smaller than this) on the wheel with 3 sections on the cluster you can change and is really intuitive
Are you talking about the same Mercedes auto brand that is at the bottom of the Reliability top done by CR (#29) and of the low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), its TCO being more than double vs. Lexus (the best luxury cars)?
I put $100 down 3 years ago to get on a ordering list for the buzz. I just got call 2 days ago from the local VW dealer. They are allowed to order 4 that will be made in Germany for the us market to be delivered in November. He asked what color I wanted. He didn’t have all the spec details but claimed it was a 91 kWh battery AWD. I will have the option once it gets closer to buy it. We’ll see if I get it this year.
The Tesla Model 3 has always had smooth regen braking. At least, it’s been smooth since 2018 when I got mine. I can see passengers getting sick if you’re constantly accelerating and lifting your foot off, but it feels smoother than having a human press the brake pedal. It completely depends on how often the driver is lifting their foot off. Having regen braking encourages the driver to brake more often
I used to buy consumers reports. It's obvious that they have become corrupt.
Phev with 100miles electric range can takeover mkt
How tall is this CR reporter? I've read where a driver 6' 3' could sit in front seat of 2025 Camry with panoramic sunroof and still have good head clearance. No where have I read a tall driver might have interior head clearance issues. Understand interior roof is higher without glass roof, but still I've read no head clearance issues for tall drivers with sunroof.
I like the blindspot warning light. It's simple, subtly elegant, and intuitively placed. It's the kind of thing most people will adjust to immediately. The typical orange indicator on a mirror can be difficult to see (especially in certain lighting conditions).
The problem you missed on the door handles was trying to find a black handle on a dark Model 3 in the dark. Tesla’s too cheap to backlight them.
😂I had never heard of three grown men whine so much made this video unwatchable.
I know that mostly old people buy these cars, but I feel like this guy’s complaints are most old man complaints. Someone younger should be doing the reviews as well .
I've no doubt there are other channels out there that will cater to younger people. For older people, I think this is just fine.
That blue car is beautiful!
Mike Quincy the man, I enjoy his (and CR's) straightforward, no-nonsense reviews. I don't have a Toyota, but I appreciate them for what they are - reliable, comfortable, and practical cars. After having been to the shop so many times with my Ford/Mazda and VWs, it is a wonderful thing to have a reliable car. I personally took a chance and got an Alfa Romeo Stelvio, I keep up with the service and it has had no problems.
CR rolling average reliability top for the last 5 years: Lexus #1, Toyota #2, Mazda #3, Honda #4, Subaru #5, Acura #6, Porsche #8, Ford #22, VW #27 etc. Why would anyone buy a Ford or a VW or an Alfa? Because their TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) is also far out of the low ones top - featuring Toyota, Mitsubishi, Lexus (despite being a luxury brand, it has the TCO 2 to 3 times lower than the German, Indian, Korean luxury clunkers!), Honda, Mazda (since parting ways with Ford, Mazda is thriving, being at the top of some segments, like with Miata).
Crappy and boring car as usual
That's a good thing. It's a car your can buy new and know it will be there 10 years later.
What clunker do you drive, that you troll the review of the segment's champion?
You can adjust the seat up and down to avoid your head touching the top
Those arrows on the steering wheel allow it to serve multiple functions. There's nothing complicated about it. You'll get used to it in a few minutes at most a few days. It's really simple. Nothing to it. And I've never given a second thought to my shifter. It's a shifter. Solid effort from Toyota my main issue with this is the cost. The one i want is pushing 40k which to me is preposterous. I guess I can consider the Le. We'll see.
Hard buttons! Thank God. I recently had a rental with touch screen controls, and the interface just added an extra step plus eyes off the road.
For the 2024 versions: The safety features, including the automatic breaking are standard with both the automatic and manual versions. I personally chose the BRZ over the GR86, because the motor is a Subaru FA24 Boxer Motor. Should anything go wrong with the engine, I would rather have a Subaru Mechanic work on it over a Toyota mechanic. Another reason I chose the BRZ over the GR86 is because the Toyota dealers wanted $1500 over sticker; while the Subaru dealers were willing to sell if for MSRP without any markups.
They are doing everything they can to keep people interested in sedans. It is going to be interesting to see if this sells better than the last generation or keeps declining as people want the SUVs. Proud owner of a 2013 Subaru Legacy H6 with 5 speed automatic with 145,000. Great straight forward review by Mike Quincy, thank you.
How much is a new battery?
8grand
approx $3k
@@leonardtran631cheaper than hyundai but still crazy expensive
@@leonardtran631, that is a lie! Are you a hybrids/Toyota hater?
Really a great sedan. Thank God Toyota continues to build sedans that are not Uber expensive.
an HOUR to tell is what POS the Fisker is? Don't you value out time AT ALL?
